Breckenridge Lake RV Campground Policies

General Policy

• Management reserves the right to refuse service, deny admission, or require any guest or visitor to leave the property for violations of campground rules, disruptive behavior, safety concerns, illegal activity, or conduct that negatively impacts other guests or the campground. No refunds will be issued for guests required to leave due to rule violations.
• Site assignments are subject to change and specific site numbers are not guaranteed. Campground facilities, including restrooms, laundry facilities, lake access, and recreational amenities, may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, repairs, weather, or other circumstances.

• Subleasing, transferring, or assigning campsites is prohibited.
• The primary guest reserving a campsite or accommodation must be at least 21 years of age and must remain on-site for the duration of the reservation.
• A valid credit card must remain on file during the reservation. Guests authorize Breckenridge Lake Campground to charge the card on file for unpaid balances, damages, excessive cleaning, rule violation fines, unreturned keys, or other authorized charges.
• No refunds will be issued for early departure, voluntary cancellation after check-in, weather conditions, utility interruptions, acts of nature, or circumstances beyond campground control.
• By entering the campground, guests grant permission for photographs and video footage taken in public areas of the campground to be used for marketing and promotional purposes unless otherwise prohibited by law.

Utilities & Equipment

Guests are responsible for properly connecting and maintaining all utility hookups at their assigned site.

• RVs requiring 50-amp service must occupy a designated 50-amp site.
• Proper hoses, electrical cords, seals, gaskets, surge protection devices, and fittings must be maintained in good working condition.
• Heated water hoses are required during freezing temperatures.
• Sewer connections must remain properly sealed and connected using approved fittings.
• Discharging wastewater onto the ground is strictly prohibited.
• Guests are responsible for any damage caused to campground utility infrastructure due to improper hookups, negligence, or defective equipment and will be responsible for all repair costs.
• Breckenridge Lake Campground is not liable for interruptions to electric, water, sewer, internet, cable, or other utility services caused by weather, maintenance, equipment failure, utility providers, or circumstances beyond our control.

Speed Limit & Vehicles

• The speed limit throughout the campground is 5 MPH.

• The safety of our guests, children, pets, and staff depends on compliance with this rule. Guests who repeatedly violate the speed limit may be subject to fines or removal from the campground.
• Parking on grass is prohibited.
• Vehicles may not block roads, campsites, or utility access.
• Overflow parking must be approved by management and remain on designated gravel areas.
• Additional vehicles, trailers, boats, or equipment may incur additional fees and must be parked in approved locations.
• Golf carts, ATVs, UTVs, side-by-sides, and similar recreational vehicles are allowed on a case by case basis. Please discuss with management prior to arrival.

Smoking, Alcohol & Illegal Activity

• Smoking, vaping, marijuana use, and the use of tobacco products are prohibited inside all campground buildings.
• A minimum cleaning fee of $300 may be charged when evidence of smoking is found inside campground facilities.
• Please dispose of cigarette butts properly. Littering cigarette butts anywhere on campground property is prohibited.
• Illegal drugs, unlawful activity, underage drinking, disorderly conduct, harassment, threats, violence, or domestic disturbances will result in immediate removal from the property without refund and may be reported to law enforcement.

Quiet Hours & Guest Conduct

Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM until 8:00 AM. During quiet hours:

• Excessive noise is prohibited.
• Music, televisions, and conversations should be kept at respectful levels.
• The community fire pit must be extinguished by 10:00 PM.

Guests and visitors are expected to treat campground staff and fellow guests with courtesy and respect. Harassment, intimidation, abusive language, threatening behavior, or disruptive conduct will not be tolerated. Please respect the privacy of fellow campers and do not walk through occupied campsites.

Visitors

• Guests are responsible for the actions and behavior of all visitors.
• Management reserves the right to limit visitor access, require visitor registration, or deny admission to visitors at its discretion.
• Visitors must follow all campground rules, including parking, speed limits, pet policies, and quiet hours.

Trash & Cleanliness

Help keep our campground clean and enjoyable for everyone.

• Trash must be disposed of promptly.
• Do not leave trash outside overnight.
• Community trash cans are not intended for campsite trash.
• All household garbage must be placed in the campground dumpster.

Dumpster use is limited to normal household waste generated during your stay. The following items may not be placed in campground dumpsters:

• Mattresses
• Furniture
• Appliances
• Tires
• Batteries
• Automotive fluids
• Mechanical parts
• Hot ashes or coals
• Construction materials

All cardboard boxes must be flattened before disposal. Guests are responsible for cleaning up any trash scattered by wildlife due to improper storage.

Fire Safety

Guests are responsible for safely managing all fires.

• Ground fires are prohibited.
• Fires must be contained within approved raised fire rings.
• Fires must never be left unattended.
• All fires must be fully extinguished before leaving the site or retiring for the evening.
• Any fire restrictions issued by local, state, or federal authorities will be strictly enforced. Failure to comply may result in immediate removal from the campground without refund.

Children

• Children are welcome and must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
• Children may not be left unattended anywhere on campground property, including the clubhouse, lake area, or restrooms.

Campsite AppearanceGuests are expected to maintain a clean, orderly campsite. The following items are prohibited unless approved in writing by management:

• Sheds
• Decks
• Fencing
• Pools
• Freezers
• Clotheslines
• Permanent structures
• Tarps used for long-term storage
• Dog houses
• Landscaping projects

Digging, planting, modifying campground property, or making permanent improvements is prohibited without management approval. Sites must remain free of clutter, debris, and excessive storage.

RV Standards

• All RVs must be clean, safe, and maintained in good condition.
• Management reserves the right to deny entry or require repairs to RVs that are excessively damaged, unsightly, unsafe, leaking fluids, or otherwise unsuitable for the campground environment.
• Washing vehicles or RVs is prohibited unless approved by management.

Insurance & Liability

• Guests are responsible for maintaining insurance coverage on their RVs, vehicles, personal property, and belongings.
• Breckenridge Lake RV Campground is not responsible for loss, theft, damage, accidents, weather-related incidents, falling limbs, utility interruptions, or damage occurring during routine property maintenance activities such as mowing, trimming, landscaping, or construction.
• Guests are financially responsible for any damage caused by themselves, their children, pets, visitors, vehicles, or equipment.

Lake Access

• Lake access requires a pass or key issued by the campground office.
• A valid driver’s license and credit card must be on file before a key is issued.
• Keys are available only during office hours and must be returned to the office
• Swimming, fishing, boating, and all lake activities are undertaken at the participant’s own risk. Breckenridge Lake RV Campground assumes no responsibility for accidents, injuries, or loss of personal property associated with lake use.

Pet Policy

We welcome responsible pet owners and their pets. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests:

• Aggressive or disruptive pets are not permitted.
• Any pet displaying threatening, aggressive, or uncontrolled behavior may be required to leave the campground.
• Dogs must remain under their owner’s control at all times.
• Pets must be on a leash no longer than six (6) feet when outside of an RV, vehicle, or cabin.
• Pets may not be tied outside and left unattended.
• Excessive barking or disruptive behavior is prohibited.
• Owners must immediately clean up after their pets.
• Pets are not permitted in designated restricted areas.
• Seasonal guests must ensure pets do not become territorial or disruptive.
• Service animals are welcome in accordance with applicable laws and must remain under control at all times.

Seasonal Month-to-Month Guests

• Monthly dues are due on the scheduled due date.
• A two-day grace period is provided. Beginning on the third day, a late fee of $10 per day may be assessed until the balance is paid in full.
• Accounts more than fifteen (15) days past due may be subject to termination of occupancy and legal eviction procedures in accordance with applicable laws.
• Seasonal guests are encouraged to maintain a local Post Office Box for standard mail delivery. Packages may be accepted at the office and must be picked up during office hours; however, no postage mail will be accepted for guests

Security deposits may be refunded provided:

• A minimum 30-day written notice is given.
• All personal property is removed.
• The site is left clean and free of debris.
• All campground property is returned in satisfactory condition.
• All outstanding balances have been paid.

Enforcement

• Failure to comply with campground rules may result in warnings, fines, loss of privileges, removal of guests or visitors, termination of occupancy, or immediate removal from the campground without refund, depending on the nature and severity of the violation.
• Management reserves the right to inspect campsites for safety, maintenance, utility, or rule compliance purposes with reasonable notice when practical.
• Management reserves the right to interpret and enforce campground rules as necessary to protect the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all guests.

Cancelation Policy

• Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to arrival will receive a full refund, minus any processing or booking fees incurred.
• Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival will receive a 50% refund, minus any processing or booking fees incurred.
• Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival are not eligible for a refund.

Reservation Changes:

• Guests may request to change their reservation dates once as long as the request is made at least 14 days prior to arrival. We will do our best to accommodate date changes based on availability.
